I'm searching for a gallery that will allow me to add images to my news articles and one that hopefully works on windows 2003 and IIS6. From what I've read so far this seems to be what I'm looking for. The question I'd like to know is if there are any issues with running it on w2k3 and IIS6?

    Also

Should I remove Gallery and do I need Coppermine? Or does Photoshare operate as its own entity?

    Thanks

Photoshare will allow you to add images to your news articles as long as you are using pagesetter (preferred), PageEd, or can do some minor hacking to the standard news module. Pagesetter and PageEd are both replacements for the standart pn news module. (well actaully pagesetter is much, much more than that!)

You don't need to remove gallery or use coppermine. Photoshare is self-contained. You will need pnRender installed in your postnuke installation.

You will need GD installed on your box. This may already be the case since you are running Gallery. If not, do a google for php_gd.dll and get it installed on your server.

Unfortunately I don't have GD installed on my box. Would anyone here happenn to know how to install this on a w2k3 system? I've downloaded the win32 files but the instructions on where to place them are unclear.

    Thanks

You can always use Foxserv for a W2K box. Foxserv pre-configures apache, mysql, php, GD, etc...

To get GD working on my W2K box, I just uncommented the GD dll comment in the php.ini file. The necessary dll for GD was included with foxserv... hope that helps.
