    I do believe Photoshare is supposed to allow Photo commentary, but I haven't quite seen any rock-solid info on it. Does anyone know something about that?

    Also, I would just like help checking up on my permissions order. Are things in the right listing here?

    1 Admins .* .* Admin
    2 All groups Menublock:: Main Menu:Administration: None
    3 All groups Menublock:: Main Menu:(Admin Manuals|Pagesetter Manual|Photoshare Manual): None
    4 Users photoshare:: .* Edit
    5 All groups photoshare:: .* Read
    6 Users .* .* Comment
    7 Users pagesetter:: tid:pid: Edit
    8 Unregistered .* .* Read
    9 Unregistered Menublock:: Main Menu:(My Account|My Gallery|Logout): None

    Eventually I plan on making an even more complex permissions scheme with Admins, Sub-Admins, Moderators, Authors, Artists, Users, then Unregistered folk.
    :P I need to find a good permissions tutorial!

    Thanks for help, it's appreciated! ]

    Photoshare does not enable hooks or commenting. Sorry.

    Really now - this is the best gallery system I've found so far (Coppermine is driving my users batty), and the article integration is outstanding. It just seems strange that the PN gold comments system can't be integrated with Photoshare - or in some way, a comments system be integrated into Photoshare.

    I have seen the template that integrates the EZcomments system in, and I'm puttering around with it - though I'm not certain to what extent, if any, I can get it working. I sure as heck can try though!

    Hopefully comments are in your future plans? Really great work on this system, J?rn.
    Det er altid rart at bruge de danske systemer. De funger de bedste. (Ok, s? er jeg ikke helt god til dansk endu, men det g?r fremmad.)

    Could I beg someone to peek at those permissions?
    ---EDIT---

    I got Photoshare, EZComments and the new template working. Ah! Happiness is Photoshare!

    I tried this again and again but never succeeded. Could you please provide some hints? What did you change?

    First I ownloaded this template and unzipped it under /modules/photoshare/templates

    http://sourcefo…209&aid=834605

    Then I switched all my galleries, both users and admin, to use it.

    Then I downloaded EZComments 0.2 and activated and initialized that module.
    NOTE: you have to manually create the folder in modules, that you unzip Ezcomments into. The folder has to be called 'EZComments', otherwise it'll fail to work properly. If you gave the folder the wrong name, just rename it. The capital letters are important.

    Then I went to the module settings (Modules > Photostoshare Edit) for photoshare and activated 'Ezcomments' and ratings for it.

    After that, I had comments and ratings working for Photoshare. I also plan on switching News and download ratings to use Ezcomments instead too.

    I don't have smarty working for EZComments yet though. That is still evading me.

    Yeah, you can get it from here:

    link

    I'm only going to have it up temporarily. Be sure to download it right away.
    This should be uploaded to /modules/photoshare/templates
    then you can apply it as the default template in Admin/Photoshare.

    Edit:
    Forget it, works now.

    If anyone else would like some combination of Thumbnail-Gallery and Stylish Template (including commenting, title and description plus the fix for the prev-next links):

    1. pnuser.php:
    Line 285

    $viewURL = pnModUrl('photoshare', 'user', 'showimages', array('fid' => $folderID, 'template' => 'Full')); //Full is the name of the changed stylish template

    2. template_Full.html (create in photoshare folder pntemplates):

    3. template.php in thumbnail folder Line 137
    $largerURL = $templateHelper->folderURL($folderID, 'Full') . "&iid=$id";

    4. template.php in Full folder with hooks enabled

    Can anyone send me the template_Full.html via email or offer it for download ?

    my email - buergerportal[at]yahoo.de

    EDIT:
    Forget it, I got it by looking into source of forums page ...

    Another question ... is it possible to change the slideshow template instead ?
    I won't miss the slideshow function in photoshare.

    HELLO,

    Any new idea about ratings and comments in the Slideshow ?
    Would be great to hear about success from somebody.
