    It would be nice if we can notify users by email about a new published album...

    Which users? The ones that it is published for?
    I don't expect everybody to like this feature.

    I would prefer a "New album" indicator on the list of folders (and sorting by date), instead "risking" being spammed with new album mails.

    But perhaps you should be able to "monitor" the album list.
