    Someone already made a plugin that searchs only in specific publicatio type(s)?

    No don't think so.

    Only thing that comes to mind is the knowledge-base example Jorn has included in the pagesetter distribution, which has a hardcoded search field in it's template to search within the knowledge base publications.

    Take a look in /modules/pagesetter/examples/knowlegdebase
