    Iv created a new Plugin for Mediashare, witch has the same functionality like youtube.
    You can upload EVERY Video format and Mediashare converts it into flv, then a flash player shows the movie.
    For sure you need root on your Server, have to install the encoder software and my shell script.
    Jorn, is there any way to include this in Mediashare? Or do you think this overhelms too much users? (to install the encoder with all codecs is not that easy :(

    Ok, I will release soon (without support :)
    Im using flowplayer for flash player and mencoder for encoding. The cool thing is, all the code is in the plugin, you dont have to hack mediashare (thank to jorns flexible architecture).
    Less cool is, that you have have root access to your server.

    I need to take a new server next week for a new site. Do your plugin need some requirements ?

    You need mencoder installed and the permission to execute shell script.
    I think you need a Linux VServer with root permissions or a dedicated server.
    Sorry for not releasing until yet, I don't wanna upload a Zip. As soon as NOC is running again, I will do so.
