Does anybody know a way to exclude an album from showing up in the list of all galleries?

In mediashare you can change the permissions for every single album. Log in as an admin, go to the album, choose "edit", then "access" and uncheck the view/everybody box.

I want to do this, but the answer above isn't quite right I think.
I want (and I think the original poster wants) to duplicate the photoshare functionality of "Do not show album in list of all albums". Photos in that album are still viewable by anonymous visitors by URL, but the album itself isn't displayed. In mediashare, if you uncheck view/everybody the photos are completely inaccessible.
I used this feature in photoshare as a "resource repository" that I would use for things like sending people photo links that I didn't to clutter up my site with or even a place to upload images I'd use for pagesetter, blog or site decoration.
Can this functionality be duplicated in mediashare?

Create an album with restricted access and put the album you don't want to be listed in it.
So anonymous can't view restricted album but can view sub-albums.

Well.. I tried this and it works in the gallery itself. But it doesn't work with the random block. :-(
