Just upgraded a site from PostNuke 0.8 RC4 to Zikula 1.0. Everything upgraded without a problem EXCEPT Mediashare and Pagesetter. Content 2.01 ran just fine.

When trying to run Pagesetter 6.3.0 after installing, I received the following error message:

    Quote

    /home/brother/public_html/modules/pagesetter/pnuserapi.php(372): "getPubList" failed: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ' pg_revision, pg_online, ' at line 7 while executing: SELECT pn_pagesetter_pubdata1.pg_id, pn_pagesetter_pubdata1.pg_pid, pg_author, UNIX_TIMESTAMP(pg_created) as pg_created, pg_approvalState, , pg_revision, pg_online, pg_field1 FROM pn_pagesetter_pubdata1 LEFT JOIN ON pg_topic = LEFT JOIN pn_pagesetter_pubheader ON pg_tid = 1 AND pn_pagesetter_pubheader.pg_pid = pn_pagesetter_pubdata1.pg_pid WHERE (pg_publishDate <= NOW() || pg_publishDate IS NULL) AND (NOW() < pg_expireDate || pg_expireDate IS NULL) AND pg_online AND pg_showInList AND (pg_language = 'eng' OR pg_language = 'x_all') AND NOT pg_indepot ORDER BY pg_created, pg_revision

The configuration of the server that this site is running on is:
    cPanel Build 11.23.3-RELEASE 25133
    Operating system Linux
    Kernel version 2.6.9-023stab043.1-enterprise
    Machine Type i686
    Apache version 2.2.8 (Unix)
    PERL version 5.8.8
    PHP version 5.2.5
    MySQL version 5.0.45-community
    Zikula version 1.0
    Website http://www.stadis.net/~brother

I even completely uninstalled Pagesetter and re-installed it, but that did not seem to help at all. This ran perfect on PostNuke 0.8 RC4 before I upgraded to Zikula 1.0.

    Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear that you are having the same problem, but I must admit that I feel better knowing that I'm not alone on this.

Okay, I have this solved, sort of. Instead of just using my old database and trading out all of the command files, I started from scratch with a brand new database. When I did this, Pagesetter appears to run just fine. I'll have to do some additional testing to make sure that it all works, but it currently looks like it does.

    dmm,

My suggestion is to back up your MySQL database, create a completely new database (so that you don't disturb what you have in your current database), and than after installing everything fresh, upload the back-up SQL file. You'll probably have to edit the back-up file so that they file names match, but it is doable. Far too much work, but doable.

On the other hand, the Zikula 1.0 announcement notice did say that the upgrade file wasn't really available yet. You may just want to wait for it.

You need to install the Topics module on Zikula 1.0 for Pagesetter to work.

sorry, but it's not clear to me: where should i find Topics? is it the "old" pn 0.74 Topics module?
it seems to me that on a clear zikula install it's a real problem to add topics module (i've got "Error! Sorry! Table creation failed")

did you program an update or we should wait for pagemaster?
    (everyway for me: go offline...)

    thanks
    marco

Install the current SVN version of Topics - or wait for the official upgrade pack which is on it's way. This will contain a version of Topics.

The current SVN version of Pagesetter contains some fixes for the new Topics module, these fixes will be released in a not so far future ...

    Hi there,

I get this problem, and I tried to solve it by downloading pnuserapi.php, pnuser.php and common.php from http://elfisk.cvs.sourceforge.net/elfisk/pagesetter/ (these were all the files that have been modified recentlyish... 4 months ago).

Is this correct? I'm still getting the same error as before, and am confused.

I'd appreciate a poke in the right direction, as I seem to be stuck.

    Many thanks,

    Greg

My best recommendation is that you download Pagesetter and/or Mediashare once again and unzip (unrar or untar) it to a folder...

Get Crimson Editor (it's just a better Notepad), use it's 'Search in files' function in that folder and seek the term 'topic' (no quotes, ALSO don't forget to check the look in subfolders).

This will make a list of the occurence of said term into all files... once you do it just double click each line to go to it directly.

Now just delete every line of code that supplies Topics functionality ([edited here]IMHO you shouldn't need to install topics, in Pagesetter since can use Categories and in Mediashare keywords[edits end here]).

Do this on a test enviroment (not a production one) using Xampp for example on your windows machine...

Hey, it worked for me but that is because i didn't use topics anyway.
