    Hi,
my webhoster upgraded recently form Apache 1.3 to 2.2 since then photoshare (and mediashare) do not show pictures anymore, or rather only some. About 5% of the pictures are still showed, but most of them neither show the thumbnail nor the picture. I have checked about everything I can influence, from removing the .htaccess (and removing short-urls etc) but without any effect. mod_rewrite is activated but not used (as the .htaccess is not there...). I have not touched anything at my installation (postnuke 0.764) and my hoster of course does not care about the CMS.

Is there any way to get the pictures back? It seems to be some underlying but regarding the new apache but I really need help for this.

    Thanks.

Try right-clicking on an image and get the exact URL to it. Then paste that into the browser and see what happens - sometimes you can be lucky and find an error message.

    Hi,

well, I just get a few thumbnails displayed (currently none :-( ) and the thumbnails showed change from reload to reload. I was lucky and have seen one. If I copy the graphics adress from the tumbnail and open it in a new browser -> voila, the thumbnail gets displayed. If I however click on it (in the random picture block) this message occurs:

    http://www.crash-online.de/html/index.php?module=photoshare&type=show&func=viewimage&iid=2131&thumbnail=0

    which is basically the link...

The problem is, that if NO picture is display, I cannot even get the adress, as there is "nothing" to click on. In the edit-view I cannot even select the "empty" ones, as there are no pictures inside.

If I open a picture from the edit view with "Show Image", copy the graphics link and paste it in a new window, only text is displayed, e.g.

    http://www.crash-online.de/html/index.php?module=photoshare&type=show&func=viewimage&iid=2045&viewkey=

If I open directly an image file from the server (<path>/photoshare/img2090) it shows the contents, but of course no picutre (no mime-type).

    Any idea?

    Thanks

My best guess is that PHP crashes for some reason while displaying the images. Typically this is due to resource limits on the server. Nothing I can do to help you. Sorry.

Is there a way to find out that PHP crashes or to document it for my webspace provider? I want to show them it is their fault for damaging the web-presence so that they change it back to a working state.

    Thanks
