Default template applied to "". Please ask administrator to create a template for this publication type.

I get this message above and below the list of publications when viewing /index.php?module=pagesetter&tid=4

Why? What do I have to change?

I did not get the template name stored in any template variable, so that is the reason for this mysterious message. It should actually have been: Missing template for "YourPubTypeName-list-header.tpl" - as well as footer.

So you are missing the header and footer templates.

Hi. I'm getting the same error message:

    Quote

Default template applied to "". Please ask administrator to create a template for this publication type.Default template applied to "(name of Publication)". Please ask administrator to create a template for this publication type.Default template applied to "". Please ask administrator to create a template for this publication type.

I've followed the manual and tutorial step by step -- I just don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I created a template and named it recipes-full.tpl (recipes being the name of the Publication Type I created. That didn't work -- I still get the error message.

I also looked for a header and footer templates as mentioned above. I found a header.tpl and footer.tpl in \smarty-2.6.0\demo\templates. Were the templates supposed to be copied into some other folder? I do, of course, have the header.php and footer.php files that were part of the PostNuke installation.

You have to have separate header and footer for each publication type. In these you can add whatever you want, or just leave them empty.

If you have a publication called News, you have to add two tpl-files called News-list-header.tpl and News-list-footer.tpl. Put them in the /templates folder.
