    J?rn,
the speed you churn out new functions is breathtaking. Do keep on, but...

On the verge of setting up a new site I'm still at the very basics.

I do read your manual, try to understand it and try to implement.

I find your efforts and level of documentation great!

One wish though - not for functions (just now at least), but for demonstration. Show me!

I haven't seen any link to a PageSetter site, using just some of the facilities.

It would be really nice to be able to combine knowledge from the manual and the program with actually seeing the function at work.

This would improve my learning curve quite a bit.

    Seeing is believing :P

Best regards and cheers for your tremendous effort!
    Finn

PS: Your reference to berlingske tidende - in one of your posts - is a good example of giving me an "aha"-experience. Still would like to see it done in PageSetter...

At the risk of sounding self-serving, one of the sites that I am currently building has had its content converted to Pagesetter. The URL is www.hpom.org. Keep in mind that it is currently in development. In fact, we are planning on building a new theme from scratch pretty soon.

There is an Article publication type that all of the content is housed in. You won't be able to see the admin side but you can see it from a surfers perspective.

I have to agree with the pace of development. My question is whether J?rn sleeps or not! And not only are new features constantly arriving but he does a great job in my opinion of answering forum questions in a timely manner.

Great - I look forward to check it out.

    Kind regards
    Finn

PS: How about adding it to the "Add Pagesetter Site" on the left-hand menu? ;)

I have added this site under the Photoshare category and it won't let me add the same site under Pagesetter. Oh well.

Thanks for the nice words. Yes, December has been tremendously busy for me. Normally I spend quite a few hours on scouting, but december is "off", so I haven't had much else to do than eat and code here at home :-) Besides that I have also been allowed to spend 30 hours on Pagesetter at my daily job where I was asked (put my self into position ...) to help setting up an intranet for our R&D department. I have also gotten some help from both Tony and Sebastian.

Now I am getting close to the bottom of my "important for me" list. This means I will soon (a few weeks) release version 4.0. This time together with a bunch of examples on how to use the various features. To do this I first need to implement import/export of publication types.

I also plan to write a few tutorials showing how to implement a knowledge base (in use on my job), FAQ's, simple editor and more, depending on my patience.

Last of all I'm going to transform elfisk.dk into a complete Pagesetter site (can't have rants like this: http://mods.postnuke.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=2083 by craig poping up once in while :))

BTW: Tony, have you considered ysing Verdana as a font instead of Arial? It's a more readable font and might just present itself a bit better on a serious site like yours.

You might also want to do something with the random image block. It seems somewhat out of place ...

Anyway - nice to see a Pagesetter site in use (with multiple pages :-) and a quite nice site.

Thanks for the comments. You are very observant. The random image block was put there to show the client the type of things that are possible and just hasn't been removed. I will look into Verdana as the font. Making the site more readable and easier to use is always on my mind.

I'm in he process of re-theming elfisk.dk while I'm at the same time converting it to Pagesetter as a showcase. So I'm experimenting a bit with Verdana as well as "Trebuchet MS". You can see an example on www.alistapart.com. This is, by the way, a "must read" if you care about CSS and HTML design.

BTW: is "by the way" something to put between commas or not? Which is right:

    1) This is, by the way, a "must read" ...
    2) This is by the way a "must read" ...

    ???

I've been frequenting alistapart for the past couple of months. The articles are very enlightening.

Since "by the way" can be eliminated from the sentence, while still keeping proper sentence structure, it should be seperated by commas. You used it correctly.
